About the Comedian

Janae Burris (Just For Laughs/NBC First Look) is a Colorado based comedian.who tours nationally with Moms Unhinged, Josh Blue (America's Got Talent) and has opened for nationally touring comics Beth Stelling, Gary Goldman and Mike Birbiglia to name a few. Janae has been featured at Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington Ind, Big Pine Flagstaff, Telluride Blues Fest and High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver as well as headlining at Ha Ha Harvest in Portland, Aspen Laugh Fest and JokeChella in Fort Collins. Janae is a 2019 Montreal Just For Laughs New Face. She is the first woman to work as new talent coordinator at Comedy Works Denver’s as well as the first woman to host Film On The Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

As a mother Janae is one of the few women in stand up to record a special while pregnant (Long Overdue), which you can find streaming, somewhere, once she’s done editing it (probably sometime after her kid has graduated high school). For now, you can watch her Open Bar Special “MomBod” on YouTube.

You can find Janae working as an actor, teaching stand up comedy and headlining shows all over the front range.
